By downloading, installing, or using PlantGuard AI, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the app provides
PlantGuard AI offers AI-generated plant-care guidance based on your photo and answers. Features include likely issues, suggested daily actions, a 7-day recovery plan, progress tracking, plant profiles, and Premium features such as additional scans and plants.
This is hobby and informational guidance only. It is not:
- Professional agricultural, horticultural, botanical, or veterinary advice
- A guaranteed diagnosis or cure
- A substitute for in-person inspection by a qualified expert
- Official certification or endorsement by any expert body
AI diagnosis limitations
AI output may be wrong or incomplete. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or that your plant will recover. Always use your own judgment and local expertise when symptoms are severe or uncertain.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for:
- How you care for your plants based on app suggestions
- Verifying safety around pets, children, and edible plants
- Seeking local expert help for severe, spreading, or uncertain symptoms
- Following label directions on commercial plant-care products
Do not rely on the app for decisions about consuming unknown plants or treating serious toxicity.
Chemical and pesticide caution
The app does not provide exact chemical dosing or instructions to mix pesticides. Always follow product labels and local regulations.
Subscriptions (PlantGuard Premium)
Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple or Google:
- Entitlement: plantguard_premium
- Products: plantguard_premium_monthly, plantguard_premium_yearly
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by the store under their policies.
Free users receive a limited number of real AI diagnoses and plant profiles as described in the app. You may use Restore Purchases in the app to recover Premium on a new device.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, overload, or scrape the diagnosis API (including automated bulk requests)
- Attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures
- Misrepresent AI output as professional certification or guaranteed results
- Use the app for unlawful purposes or to harm others
- Reverse engineer or redistribute the service except as allowed by law
Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PlantGuard AI and its operators are not liable for plant loss, property damage, personal injury, or any other harm arising from your use of the app or reliance on AI guidance—even if we have been advised of the possibility of such harm.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated Terms are posted at the hosted URL constitutes acceptance.
